PHOENIX, AZ — January 19, 2026 — Building on a powerful start to the 2026 season, Factory Karts delivered a statement performance this past weekend at the Cactus Cup. Competing at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association (PKRA) circuit, the brand showcased its depth by securing a major victory in the Briggs Junior 2 category and setting the pace in the ultra-competitive Rotax Sr MAX class.
In Briggs Junior 2 Gage Grant provided the highlight of the weekend for the Phoenix-based manufacturer. Competing aboard the Factory Karts 4C model—a chassis specifically engineered for the nuances of 4-cycle racing—Grant was the class of the field. Grant controlled the event from start to finish, navigating the technical PKRA layout with precision to take a decisive win in the Briggs Junior 2 weekend championship.
Sunday Redemption in Rotax Sr MAX In the Rotax Sr MAX division, Cooper O’Clair demonstrated the performance of the new Factory Karts SS 2.0 chassis. While narrowly missing out on the overall weekend title due to early event luck, O’Clair left no doubt regarding who had the fastest kart on track. O’Clair clocked the fastest laps of the event and capped the weekend off with a solid victory in Sunday’s Final, proving the SS 2.0 is a formidable weapon in the international chassis market.
"The results this weekend at the Cactus Cup validate the work we’ve put into both our 4-cycle and 2-cycle programs," said Justin Stefani of Factory Karts. "Seeing Gage control the race in Junior 2 and watching Cooper set the fastest laps of the event in Rotax Sr shows that our chassis are built to win in any configuration. Winning at our home track in Phoenix is always a nice feeling and hats off to the entire PRKA staff for putting on a great event.”
With the "Factory Karts 2.0" relaunch in full swing, the brand continues to prove that American-made engineering can compete with and beat the best in the world. The team now looks ahead to the next major stop at the RMC Winter Trophy at Speedsportz Racing Park in New Caney, TX.
