NEW CANEY, TX — February 3, 2026 — Factory Karts solidified its position as a powerhouse on the international karting stage this weekend, delivering a masterclass performance at the RMC Winter Trophy held at Speedsportz Racing Park. Highlighting the weekend’s success, Billy Musgrave secured the Rotax DD2 Championship title, earning a prestigious ticket to the 2026 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final while teammate Theo Kekati and Oliver Hodgson inked wins to match the impressive outing.
Musgrave’s championship run was defined by clinical precision, he racked up three final wins throughout the series to clinch the overall title in an impressive fashion. The RMC Winter Trophy marked the first Rotax event for Factory Karts as well as Billy Musgrave. The team’s dominance in the DD2 category was further cemented on Sunday when teammate Theo Kekati powered to a victory after an unlucky couple day of racing. The team secured a clean sweep of the weekend's DD2 finals for the Factory Karts chassis.
In the highly competitive Rotax Senior division, single-speed specialist Oliver Hodgson showcased exceptional pace. Hodgson took victory in Final number two and followed with a near win Sunday’s action. The overall effort secured second place in the overall championship standings, narrowly missing the top spot after a hard-fought series.
"This weekend was a strong body showcase of our body or work," explained Justin Stefani. "Sweeping the DD2 finals in our debut and having our drivers contend for titles across multiple classes proves the versatility and elite performance of our equipment on the international stage."
The RMC Winter Trophy serves as a premier proving ground for North American and international talent, with the Texas-based event drawing top-tier competitors vying for a spot at the year-end Grand Finals. With a championship in hand and multiple trips to the top step of the podium, Factory Karts leaves New Caney with significant momentum heading into the remainder of the 2026 season.
