Highlighting the weekend’s success, Billy Musgrave secured the Rotax DD2 Championship title, earning a prestigious ticket to the 2026 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final while teammate Theo Kekati and Oliver Hodgson inked wins to match the impressive outing.

Musgrave’s championship run was defined by clinical precision; he racked up three final wins throughout the series to clinch the overall title in an impressive fashion. The RMC Winter Trophy marked the first 2026 Rotax event for Factory Karts as well as Billy Musgrave's DD2 debut. The team’s dominance in the DD2 category was further cemented on Sunday when teammate Theo Kekati powered to a victory after an unlucky couple day of racing. The team secured a clean sweep of the weekend's DD2 finals for the Factory Karts chassis.

In the highly competitive Rotax Senior division, single-speed specialist Oliver Hodgson showcased exceptional pace. Hodgson took victory in Final number two and followed with a near win Sunday’s action. The overall effort secured second place in the championship standings, narrowly missing the top spot after a hard-fought series.

Competing at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association (PKRA) circuit, the brand showcased its depth by securing a major victory in the Briggs Junior 2 category and setting the pace in the ultra-competitive Rotax Sr MAX class.

In Briggs Junior 2 Gage Grant provided the highlight of the weekend for the Phoenix-based manufacturer. Competing aboard the Factory Karts 4C model—a chassis specifically engineered for the nuances of 4-cycle racing—Grant was the class of the field. Grant controlled the event from start to finish, navigating the technical PKRA layout with precision to take a decisive win in the Briggs Junior 2 weekend championship.

Sunday Redemption in Rotax Sr MAX In the Rotax Sr MAX division, Cooper O’Clair demonstrated the performance of the new Factory Karts SS 2.0 chassis. While narrowly missing out on the overall weekend title due to early event luck, O’Clair left no doubt regarding who had the fastest kart on track. O’Clair clocked the fastest laps of the event and capped the weekend off with a solid victory in Sunday’s Final, proving the SS 2.0 is a formidable weapon in the international chassis market.

Factory Karts Dominates 2026 SKUSA Winter Series Opener

NEW CANEY, TX – Factory Karts kicked off the 2026 racing season with a statement of intent this past weekend at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series. In a weekend defined by technical precision and raw speed, newly signed world-class talent Oliver Hodgson secured a commanding victory in the Pro X30 division, while multi-time champion Billy Musgrave proved the chassis strength with a second-place podium finish in Pro Shifter.

The event served as the official competitive debut and launch of Factory Karts 2.0 , a complete evolution of the brand’s American-made racing platform. Following an ownership transition and a rigorous year of re-engineering at their Phoenix, AZ headquarters.

Winning on Debut

Oliver Hodgson, making his first start for the Factory Karts team, proved the new Single Speed chassis is a force to be reckoned with.
